I think I can safely say that its been an interesting season for me. With its ups and downs. Weather being a deffinate down, I don't think I've had such a wet season. On the positive I've made alot of new friends this year from all different societies and every Saturday night has been an enjoyable one with alot of laughs and fantastic displays. I think we can all give ourselves a huge pat on the back. Which just leaves me with the highlight of my season, finding my own personal bonfire boy, the icing on the cake for a great season. Bring on 2009!!!  Very Happy

Well apart from the weather which was wet & horrid some Saturday nights and  the obvious sad event for me personally on the 'Fifth' I thought it was a great season. Plus I managed to bag myself a cute Bonfire Girl.  Very Happy

Yes another fantastic season. We were again continuously looking over our shoulder to avoid the authoraties wrath but as our motto suggests "we wunt be druv"!!!

The quality of this years firework displays at all the outmeetings we attended were very high, especially Burgess Hill and East Hoathly.

Our Cracker Barrel proved very popular at outmeetings, maybe the way forward to lagalise bangers in the processions, and the public loved it too!!

The wet weather was a shame, as was the fog at Fletching but we all said we were due a wet one.

We are now looking forward to our dinner this friday where i can top up with Harveys before xmas.

Been a mixed season for us, the mood matching the weather at the start but very quickly improved with a change of society, I know Burgess hill has had its troubles recently but they still know how to give a great welcome to new/ish members. We also made some new friends and had a lot of laughs along the way. I lit my 1st rookie which was quickly followed by a 2nd, I was still shaking 10 mins later lol but at least now I can see what the lure and adrenalin buzz is of them (this does not mean I am ready for an initiation of fire and bangs!). So in all a fantastic season see you all at the carol service if not have a great christmas and keep the hip flasks flowing at the New year. Hears to next season being even better still  PDT_Piratz_10  PDT_Piratz_11  PDT_Piratz_12  PDT_Piratz_13

Well this was my first full season within the ranks and enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks to you all for all playing your part. Hope that you all have a fantastic Christmas and New Year. For those of you taking part in the London New Years Day parade - good luck in getting up for the coach!

I hear that there are still some spaces left so if you facy a trip to London for a small fee (Kids go free) just let me know.

Roll on 2009.....

Nick
