Been told there is a zero tolerance on squibs/procession fireworks at Battel this year!!!! Anyone know if there's any truth in it please? And if so are boom boxes allowed?

Wouldn't surprise me with Senlac division's attitude towards bonfire. Will try and find out for you.

Right been in contact with Battel for you all. You are allowed to bring along your boom boxes for your bangs and flares are allowed also. Battel kindly asked that you don't discharge fireworks on The Abbey Green or when you go through the Abbey gates and along the path to the firesite. As English Hertiage would not be happy bunnies.

Sounds fair enough, probably better off just sticking to the boom boxes then than risking one on the ground, cheers Governor!!! Ohh just had a thought! Gonna need to improve our boom boxes off road capability for the firesite!! Wonder what mods' i'll need to do to fit tracks???  Confused

Just to clarify your ok for bangers on the Abbey Green (where we have our token bonfire) the only ban is between the Abbey Gateway and the firesite as you are walking through the Abbey ruins (and we really do mean they are banned)

Good night had by us all at Battle. The torches were mahusive.....twice the size of Hastings!! Surprised

Amazing fireworks that had to rival those of Lewes, and the rain just held off for them.

Huge crowds made obtaining a beer a problem but otherwise a good night!!

Well done to all at Battel BS!! Smile
