Hello,

I'm trying to start a new society and have been desperately trawling the internet for a company that can knit and supply a number of woollen jumpers.  Alas, I can find no one.  Is there anyone who knows where their society gets their jumpers from or does everyone just knit their own?  Being all fingers and thumbs I really hope it isn't the latter as the idea of having to knit a couple dozen jumpers by Autumn doesn't sound like a fun way to spend time.  Smile

Kind regards

Sulis

You'll find most societies have people within who knit their jumpers. Any idea of what colour's you're looking at? Afterall you wouldnt want to clash with another society.

Hello,

Thought that may be the likely answer Sad sore fingers for me then. lol

We are thinking of black and red or black, red and gold.  Not sure at present whether to go down the hooped route or to do something a little different and go for a chequer-board effect.  Anyway, if anyone else knows of any other companies, that would be really welcomed.

Kind regards,

Sulis

Red & black is already used by Newick, Barcombe and Southover. I like the idea of black, red & gold.

I think the hoops looks better as almost all other societies have them, not so keen on chequer board ones. I like the idea of the black but would be nice to use a different colour with it, not so keen on the red and gold. I always think purple would look good with the black and as far as I know there isnt a society that uses it. Of course if I had my way way I would love to have pale pink and baby blue, but I have a feeling the lads wouldn't be to happy with that, would give me a laugh though, imagine if I got Forrest to wear one  Exclamation  Twisted Evil  Laughing  Laughing

Hi Sulis, the person you need to speak to is a Mrs Cass, she makes quite a large percentage of the jumpers you see around each year, she charges £30 or £35 I can't quite remember which (which is about the going price I think) and she's on 01323 843171. She's starting to get busy now as the season approaches so you'll need to think about getting your order in soon!! Good luck.
