Thanks to all of you who turned up for our night. The clear up has been done and collection is being counted.

No conerns raised to me about the use of flares, thanks for using them sensably and in moderation. This will help us continue their use in future years.

Yes had a good time at Burgess Hill last night. Certainly was a good one. Uploaded some photo's to my facebook profile. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselfs.

The only sour note came at the end of the night when we got back to the cars to find that some scumbags had slashed three tyres and smashed the rear windscreen of one of the Lindfield's members cars. He was not a happy bunny. Especially as Mr Plod wasnt interested and the fact it was nearly 1am by the time the recovery service turned up.

Brilliant stuff!

Hi All!  (been a while but the season is upon us again!)

Our kids really enjoyed the evening, as they do every year.  Absolutely no scumbag problems at all...  Is it me or are the local scallys better behaved these days?  (apart from the ones that did the car  Evil or Very Mad )

Bit of a shame we were told we couldn't warm up before playing (due to residents complaints last year) meant a bit of a weak start on the brass...  I also suffered lip stamina issues as a result...  As did the kids, poor beggars couldn't play by the end!

The pole dancer was PURE GENIUS by the way.  Love it!

Well done as usual BHBS!

Pole Dancer

Did anyone here catch the BHBS Vs Chairman of Lapdancing owners 'discussion' on Southern Counties radio earlier this week?

If so let me know what you thought..

I sent an e-mail in to BBC SCR and it was read out as part of this "story":

Subject: Bonfire

The burning of effigies has been going on for hundreds of years. There has never been, as far as I know, any attempted blowing up of anything more than a parking meter in Sussex, as a direct or indirect result of bonfire. I've been reporting on bonfire for over ten years and attend about ten a year. Everyone there enjoys it, there has always been controversy about the images, but it's all part of the fun. People need to stop looking for reasons to find fault with everything they see. If they don't like it, stay at home. The whole point of bonfire is a bit of anarchy combined with celebration of freedom. As the people of Sussex say 'we won't be druv'
Hornblower

It's "We wunt be druv".  Proper Sussex, me.  Smile
