Eastbourne 11/10/08have just found out that eastbourne have had a meating with wealden and got some sort of GO for there event so lets see if they can pull it off this year

We won't be running an event in Polegate this year as we lack sufficient membership to meet Wealden's requirements. Got to get more people in to cover all the jobs etc.

Probably too late for this year, but why not ask other societies for help - that is what they are there for!

Sorry to hear that guys!! Hope you manage to get something organised for 2009 but it's starting to look as if someone is determined to find an excuse to prevent it happening each year no matter how well you present your event. May be time for a bit of "lateral" thinking. Hope it doesn't dampen your spirits too much for this season.

We have had help, especially from Hastings and Firle but - and this is just a personal view - I get the feeling that Wealden have looked at the number of events that run in their area and have decided that whilst those are okay, they don't want to have any more.
