It would be my pleasure. Always make extra torches as you lot keep saying you might turn up one year.
6.30pm - Fancy Dress Competition - King Edward Hall
7.15pm - Procession forms up in Pondcroft Road (Road by the pond)
7.30pm Torchlight Procession round village.
8.15pm Bonfire Prayer & Lighting of Bonfire
8.30pm Firework Display
All welcome back to the King Edward Hall afterwards for food and drink. Flares are welcome to be used. Play pen provided on the common for visiting societies.
Roads will be closed between 7pm & 9pm. Parking is limited in the village, with car parks at the bottom of the common, top of the common, behind Somerfield and Hickmans Lane.

Yes the whole Lewes situation with road closures and no extra trains is something that we've been keeping our eyes on over at Lindfield. as it is the village is packed full on November 5th. We will wait and see what happens on the night.

Some additional info on Lindfield.
Please note that road closures will be enforced on the night between 7pm & 9pm and road traffic diversions in operation.
Please note car parking in Lindfield is at a minimum, and where possible we advice that you travel to the event by foot to ease congestion in the village at the end of the night. Also this will ensure that you the public have a safe transit off the common at the end of the evening.
The Red Cross will be in attendance. Their HQ for the evening will be in the top Common car park, along with the catering. The Red cross will also have foot patrols throughout the evening. Please note that the top Common car park will be closed from 9am on the morning of the ‘Fifth’.
The Lost Children post will be in the King Edward Hall opposite the pond. Due to changes in the law anybody bringing a lost child into the hall will have to give their details and sign a ‘Child Release Form’ & said child will not be released until parent/ guardian provide their own ID, details & sign the ‘Child Release Form’. This is to protect the safety of the lost child.
We advice that you don’t bring Sparklers or your own fireworks with you on the night. As discharging fireworks in a public place is a criminal offence and the Police will act upon on it. Which may mean you receiving a £80 fixed penalty notice. You have been warned. For your information Sparklers are classed as fireworks so technically by lighting one in as public place you are committing a criminal offence. They also cause more injuries per year than any other firework.
For your own safety do not pick up any discarded torches. We have marshals at the back of the procession for this purpose.
Before, during and after the fireworks please do not enter the fenced of safety area. Said fence is there for your safety! Safety marshals will be patrolling the safety area to prevent anyone entering the display area.
Have a safe and enjoyable Lindfield Bonfire Night!!

It was on December 30th 2000. It snowed and it was bloody freezing that night. Was a good night and Waterloo's coach load managed to drink our local dry and the poor landlord had to order in emergency supplies for New Year's Eve the following night.
Wasn't Mrs V dressed as a pink rabbit that night?

ah yes the pink rabbit what a year.
One of the best out meetings there ever was, I think everyone who went will always remember that one I think you should consider another late one, next year maybe? anniversary year . It would get my vote

Thanks to all our visiting societies who came last night to give us our biggest ever procession on the 'fifth'. Also thanks to ben & Phil from Fletching for helping blow me up on the clergy. Still waiting for our debrief. Police used their helicoptor to count the crowd last night. They estimated at least 11,500 people on the common last night
