im usually seen rattling chairty buckets in peoples faces on the night, and when im not doing that, i am in the pub with cliffe bonfire society singing wild rover.

its always a good night, though we always get some liitle chavy trouble makers, which is truth are a little scary.
i do think fletching has got a little big. but then we dont have the locals as much as we used to and many of the locals dont enjoy the crowds so dont tend to turn up, i dont really blame them in truth, as its not nice to have to put up with lip from someone peeing over your garden henge. i do admit its the teenage yobs that ruin it for everyone, which is why there are new rules, its not the societys fault, its the health and saftey aspect.
also people dont want to give a penny, if everyone gave £1, 50p in each bucket on the night, we would raise a lot of money, but people are tight as ducks bums.
the only ones who do give are the bonfire girls and guys themselves.
i did miss the hastings lot last year as they are very generous.
last year a few silly bugger went over the top with the rookies, you know we have a seperate part from the strippy jumper brigade so they can blow themselves up, but some were throwing them into the public crowd and it was a tad silly.
it does get to the stage where its getting a bit dangerous which is a shame. i dont mind rookies, but last year they even scared me, in fact a few of cliffe ended up in the far field with me.
oh and trust me if i see any of you i wil be feeling you up for money _________________ stormy has left the site.
