Just me phil & gasson are changing ours. No point in having a costume for Lindfield as its hard work trying to get them to go to outmeetings. Evil or Very Mad

How many ppls here are there capable of makling their own costumes . Rather than cheating and buying from ebay or where ever

And Me Exclamation

However it must be said that ebay is great for getting trim, braid and finishing items for costumes eg leather gaiters for cuffs and fur coats that can be converted into mongolian capes Wink

I do 90% of my gear sewing leather work etc. and have been commisioned to make some Victorian leather Boer war period Bandoleers (as worn by HBS victorian navy landing party) for a gentleman from Waterloo whom shall remain nameless. But do not see that it is a "crime" if people do use the internet to purchase items. If we want this tradition to survive we have to move with the times. I would rather have people taking part in off the peg costumes than stood watching from the crowdline. Mind you it must be a sickener when it gets damaged and you've paid a fortune for it. Crying or Very sad
