There will be no exceptions.
PARKING
Coaches are welcome from midday onwards. On arrival please carry out the directions given by HBBS marshals and the coach park staff. There will be limited parking for society cars. Please find enclosed car park permit, which you may copy up to a maximum of 3 per society. Pay and display parking is available at the end of Rock a Nore although this does get very busy.
PROCESSION
All visiting societies are required to provide 2 marshals who should register with HBBS captain of marshals and/or captain of assembly. _________________ "Bonfire boys do it with a bang!"
In the past an important part of the Bonfire celebrations across England was
the ringing of church bells. The ancient 'Remember the Fifth of November'
chant says 'Holla Boys Holla Boys let the bells ring'. In most towns this
no longer happens. In Battle the bells are rung in the morning before the
Bonfire celebrations. Last year the bells of All Saints Church, Hastings
were rung for the first time during the procession in Hastings for many
years.
This year Hastings Borough Bonfire Society is proud to announce that all
church bells on the procession route will be rung. The ancient peals in both
All Saints Church and St Clements Churches in Hastings Old Town will be rung
between 7.15pm and 7.45pm as the procession passes. Bonfire president Keith
Leech said 'This is wonderful news we will be the first Sussex Bonfire to
ring all the bells during the procession for years and I am really pleased
that in Hastings we have been able to bring back this tradition. We would
like to thank the Sussex Guild of bell ringers for making this possible and
Rosemary Smith for arranging it for the town.'

See you all at Hastings tonight for those that are going. I shall be there as firework display I was meant to be doing never got off the ground. _________________ "Bonfire boys do it with a bang!"
Thanks Hastings I had a good night. Hearing the church bells ringing as we walked round made it even more special for me. I got my first rookie injury!! thank goodness I was not wearing a kilt. _________________ Burn Him!
Good night again at Hastings although we heard no bells.....probably cos our cracker barrel was so busy. Only gripe was the lack of torches!! Great fireworks and weather!! _________________ Always Plotting
I had a great time again, even though I was driving. Was making good time on the way home until I got stuck behind William Wallis
I didn't hear any church bells either, ditto the Plotter was probably the rookies going off around me
I like Mum have a rookie injury or rather a beach pebble injury, although my tankard got the worst of it, rather dented now
I must appologise to Mailman for shoving him instead of shouting to him to get out of the way of the rookies but shoving came quicker into my head didn't want him to get one up the kilt
