Is there any times on Eastbourne yet. My Dad was asking as he can't seem to find any info on internet or is it just as it hasn't been published yet _________________ Death or Glory
are you sure they are running?
only asking cause I can't find any information on any offical eastbourne town sites I've looked on the tourist info, vist eastbourne and eastbourne.gov but no information.
It may pay to ask some one on saturday
Yes they are running!!!! I doubt you'll find much on any Eastbourne town website due to most of them being anti bonfire.
I recieved a letter from their secretary at Uckfield asking for societies to confirm if they were coming or not. _________________ "Bonfire boys do it with a bang!"
Pah!!!! Eastbourne town council!!!! Nearly screwed the Airshow up and now hampering the Bonfire boyes and girls!!!! They're making them walk on the promenade apparently, won't let them walk on the road!!!!! Ohhhhhh, it makes me angry!!! (not that that takes a lot!!) lol. _________________ Lest we forget
when i was a member of eastbourne they look into walking on the prom and said it was to small ie not wide enough to walk on so i dont no what has changed there minds
Maybe, when it's a choice between that or nothing? Who knows. Hope Eastbourne wern't winding me up when they told me it was on the promenade!!! lol. Apparently they're walking on the promenade from the Hollywell Cafe to the pier, then turning around and going back to the bandstand where there will be fireworks and a beacon to be lit. Maybe Nick can confirm? Although he's been very quiet lately!! But you are right the promenade is very narow, and how are you gonna turn a procession on it? unless maybe there's a beer break at the pier? I bet the Uckfield geriatric society are going they might be able to recruit a few new members at eastbourne!!! lol. (That's not a swipe at EBS by the way!) _________________ Lest we forget
Nick confirmed last night that they are indeed taking a stroll down the promenade he said it was to do with insurance, he also said there would be no rookies allowed on the beach. _________________ Lest we forget

Can anyone confirm these times and locations for Eastbourne?
"Procession leaves at 7.30pm from Silverdale Cross, ending in an explosive firework display at 8.30pm behind the Bandstand, plus a beacon on the beach."
Does anyone know where Silverdale cross is? It is not on my map.
Silverdale Cross is on the promenade as thats where they're walking along. So I'm guessing just head for the seafront. _________________ "Bonfire boys do it with a bang!"
Right some more info for those going to Eastbourne on Saturday.
1) No fireworks or flares.
2) No Boom Boxes
3) No drinking in the procession or on the seafront.
Anyone found breaking those 3 golden rules is likely to have their collar felt by the law and handed a £80 on the spot fine at the very least or find themselfs in the nick. _________________ "Bonfire boys do it with a bang!"
