Fantastic night at Newick last night. Can't tell if the fireworks were any good due to the thick smog that surrounded the village green.

Had a great time last night, although would have missed the fireworks anyway due to calming a near punchup in the pen ( lot of big toys going off in the pen next to kids).

And thanks Lindfield I is black and blue on my left side  Mad

Thank you Newick for yet another good night, had great fun. I agree with Forrest could not see the fireworks clearly due to the fog but what I saw were brilliant. Glad the rain we are having today stayed away. Smile

Superb night of traditional bonfire and a great way to start the best week of the year.
If anyone on the forum sits on the Sussex Bonfire Council I think the issue of Chaileys dress code needs to be raised. Sweat shirts and flat caps with any form of trouser is not exceptable.

Its fair to say that alot of traditionalists out there hate rugby shirts. Personally I'll let them off if they are stripes/hoops, but anything else dosen't look right. Only my opinion.

But as Rich Rookie says who cares as long as people are having fun, which is the main thing.

I'm not bothered if they are rugby tops or woolly jumpers but they should definatly be stripes/hoops/barcodes. Traditionalist through and through Exclamation  (except maybe my view on rugby tops Laughing )

Well thanks for your comments on our night, we all had a great time, lots of hard work but so worth it.
Glad you enjoyed yourselves, unfortunately the fog couldnt be helped....at least it wasnt raining hard like the sunday morning when we were clearing up.

Just like to ask who it was on here who said hello to me in the final procession.....dressed as a Scottie Confused

Looking forward to Lewes now.........BRING IT ON!!!!!!! Very Happy
