It was on December 30th 2000. It snowed and it was bloody freezing that night. Was a good night and Waterloo's coach load managed to drink our local dry and the poor landlord had to order in emergency supplies for New Year's Eve the following night.
Wasn't Mrs V dressed as a pink rabbit that night?
ah yes the pink rabbit what a year.
One of the best out meetings there ever was, I think everyone who went will always remember that one I think you should consider another late one, next year maybe? anniversary year . It would get my vote _________________ Fletching.

Good Luck Lindfield on the 5th I am sure everything will go with a bang!! Hope you are ready for the huge crowds, sorry I am not with you but will be having fun at the other little bonfire celebration south of here. _________________ Burn Him!
From talking to people who attended your night, they thought it was fantastic, especially the fireworks. Well done to all you at Lindfield _________________ Burn Him!
Thanks to all our visiting societies who came last night to give us our biggest ever procession on the 'fifth'. Also thanks to ben & Phil from Fletching for helping blow me up on the clergy. Still waiting for our debrief. Police used their helicoptor to count the crowd last night. They estimated at least 11,500 people on the common last night _________________ "Bonfire boys do it with a bang!"
