Did anyone notice how many Rugby shirts are being worn these days? I'm not talking about Chailey BS etc as they've always worn their Gold and Black quarters i'm talking about the hooped/striped variety being worn instead of Guernseys. I heard several people mention it at Crowborough, should we just accept it as "moving with the times" or should we gently encourage people to return to the more traditional attire? _________________ Lest we forget
waterloo have banned Rugby shirts they are only aloud to wear Guernseys. _________________ the only man to ever to enter parliament with honest intenions
I think that half the problem is not so many people knit these days and those that do have such busy lives they do not have the time. I have just finished 3 jumpers and I do not want to see any more knitting needles or smuggler patterns for a very long time. May be in the future rugby shirts will have to come in. Having said that I do feel smugglers are not smugglers if they are not wearing a knitted jumper. I see Forrest says people are being lazy, did he knit his jumpers?
What we need is an outlet that will knit jumpers for all the societies any ideas? _________________ Burn Him!
Smugglers (that avoids stripes v hoops arguments) are a costume and I like yo see them worn like a uniform, complete with belt and neckerchief etc. I also don't like the extras that get added unless all smugglers do it, like tail jackets.
They are the original costume and there should always be a place for them in the ranks as well as for workers where costumes would interfere. _________________ [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]
