Yet another great night in Lewes Thursday, the only thing that worried me was the site of the HSE at the war memorial, I'm sure most of you are aware of what they're capable of (especially the pyrotechnicians amongst you) but I'm going to raise the issue anyway. These guys have more powers than the Police outside criminal law and would be particularly dangerous if for example your society is a PLC!! Are they always there? I've never seen them all official like that before, or did the Police or the council call them in or did they turn up on their own initiative? Personally I think this is a worrying development!! _________________ Lest we forget |

| I would imagine they were to observe and report suggestions for next year, I've got a suggestion for them...don't come next year. |

Almost as worrying as Sussex Police using their helicoptor and its thermal imaginging equipment and computer to take a head count of how many people were at Lindfield on Thursday night. Now why would they want to do that? _________________ "Bonfire boys do it with a bang!" |

Hmmmm, at an average £1400/hour in the air that's a great use of the public purse!!! _________________ Lest we forget |

If its the same bloke who was dressed in HSE gear when we (Commercial Square) were at the war memorial then he's a member of the Cliffe and that was his new costume!!!!

if you looked at his clipboard it said something along the lines of
"assessment of cliffe pyotechnics and carnival organisation - Lewis"
just the incorrect spelling of lewes made me laugh. He did make me look twice at first but then him holding a can of beer made me take a closer look _________________ Remember, remember |
